Mississippi Centers Success Story

The coronavirus pandemic made life difficult for people across the country last year, including at our treatment centers throughout Mississippi. Patients at our Pass Christian, Greenbough, Lakeside, Singing River, and Boyington centers faced unprecedented challenges and uncertainties. Even as we adhered to strict CDC guidelines as well as our own rigorous in-house protocols to keep patients and clinicians as safe as possible, there were still moments of doubt and fear that were difficult to overcome.

That all said, Gulf Coast Health Care prides itself on being prepared for all challenges, and we band together to persevere through the tough times. We made an even bigger commitment to patient health and safety by adhering to strict CDC guidelines, improving our already advanced treatment procedures, and increasing the value of our staff by adding new clinicians who were eager to bring their expertise to our centers. We took huge steps forward in during a year when everything else seemed to come to a halt completely.

Our accomplishments

Our Shelby and Pass Christian centers were both bronze recipients of the American Health Care Association’s (AHCA) National Quality Award, and our Greenbough center received the silver recipient, both of which are tremendous honors made doubly notable considering the unprecedented conditions each center faced this year. Meanwhile, the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services rated our Mississippi centers an average of five stars, the highest rating possible.

Throughout every location in the Gulf Coast Health Care family, we were able to hire new registered nurses, personal care attendants, and other clinical experts, which provided much-needed employment for local professionals and extra layers of care for our patients.

In 2021, our Mississippi centers will focus on renewing hope, renewing energy, and continuing our commitment to quality healthcare.
